Think sourdough has to be perfect, crusty, and Instagram-worthy to be delicious?
Think again.
In this beginner-friendly class, we're ditching the pressure of perfection and embracing the beautifully imperfect world of Ugly Sourdough. Using a simple two-loaf pan method, you'll learn how to bake real sourdough bread without fancy tools, scoring knives, or the stress of shaping the "perfect boule."
Whether you're brand new to sourdough or you've tried and failed before, this class is for you. We’ll walk step-by-step through mixing, folding, fermenting, and baking—with tips that make the process feel doable, not daunting.
By the end, you’ll leave with:
A jar of active sourdough starter to keep the bread magic going at home
A shaped dough tucked in tight and ready for an overnight cold fermentation in your loaf pan, a second loaf pan (Pans provided), and a date with a hot oven at your leisure (within a day or two)
A printed guide with timelines and techniques to keep you confident in your kitchen
Confidence to bake your own deliciously ugly sourdough, your way
The desire to come back and learn how to make even more ugly things with me! Things like scones, focaccia, and the best sourdough cookies you will ever make!
Because good bread doesn’t have to be complicated and pretty—it just has to taste amazing.
Let’s get messy, have fun, and bake some ugly, delicious sourdough together.
